Flying Models Freeflight Plans - Updated Monthly!

Freeflight Plans
The essence of free-flight is that the model aircraft have no need for any form of external control, such as radio control or control lines. They are designed to be inherently stable in flight. Because they are much lighter with respect to their wing area, free-flight aircraft fly much slower than the engine-powered radio-controlled models. The challenge in free-flight operation is flight duration.

F/F Compressed Air
These lightweight models fly using a small engine powered by compressed air.
F/F Electric
These lightweight models fly using a small electric engine.
F/F Electric Scale
These scale models are based on actual airplanes, and fly using a small electric engine.
F/F Gas
These models fly using a small engine powered by a special "gas" fuel.
F/F Glider
Gliders have no onboard motive power, with the initial thrust of energy coming at launch.
F/F Jetex
These lightweight models are powered by solid fuel engines.
F/F Old Timer
These models are based on popular pre-World War II airplane designs.
F/F Scale
These models are based on real-world airplane designs.
F/F Scale No-Cal
These models are powered by loops of rubber matched to the weight of the model.
F/F Soaring
hese soaring models are non-powered, and range in size and construction method.
F/F Sport
These lightweight, freelanced designs are fun to build and fly.
