The second in the layout design series from Atlantic Publishers by Iain Rice. This volume sets out to present a case for the modeller whose inspiration is the grandeur, drama and excitement of mainline operations but is put off thinking that large amounts of space are required. The author creates a series of inspirational examples, in the style we have come to enjoy and appreciate, which provide a selection of approaches set out in spaces, while not all necessarily small, are not beyond many aspiring railway modellers. The plans and musings presented in this volume are a mix of nostalgia and pragmatism which should prove inspirational for those modellers less spatially challenged!
